Apart from a few small Italian flags and the cream and brown décor, Waizo (2/F, J-Avenue, 323/1 Thonglor Soi 15, 02-712-6470) looks typically Japanese, barely hinting at its Italian-Japanese fusion cuisine. You can bliss out on carbs with the yuzu kosho chicken spaghetti (yuzu pepper sauce, B270) or creamy gratin pizza (béchamel sauce, potato, asparagus and smoked salmon, B280), and don’t forget to try the homemade desserts, like semifreddo with strawberry sauce (B120).
