'Tis the season of raw seafood bars in Singapore.
This June and July, Pan Pacific's restaurant has an Oyster Occasions special. It's all about international oysters from America, Canada and New Zealand. But if that's not your thing you can also load up on king crab, lobsters and roe.
Celeb chef Daniel Boulud's restaurant recently got a revamp and it's got a swanky raw bar. Now you can park yourself at the bar and order tons of oysters from France and America, as well as load up on platters consisting of sweet prawns, lobsters, mussels and caviar.
One Fullerton's New England-inspired restaurant has recently rolled out platters full of roe, caviar, whole Maine lobsters, crabs, oysters and scampi on its menu. The best part is the kooky raw scallops in shaken rice citrus dressing.
Ok, it's not open yet, but il Lido's newest project at the National Gallery, opening in October, will have an entire rooftop dedicated to fresh seafood on ice. The long bar will feature lots of lobster, oysters and prawns, alongside a huge spread of salads.
