After a much-anticipated arrival, gourmet grocery giant Dean & Deluca's first Singapore outlet throws open their doors tonight.

Aside from a range of gourmet food products sourced from all over the world like spices, tea and chocolate, there's also a cheese and charcuterie counter in the retail section.

If you can get a table in their approximately 50-seater cafe, there's a range of ready-to-eat items such as Greek salad ($18.50), berries and flapjacks ($18) and barbecue chicken panini ($22), an impressive selection of baked goods including double chocolate chip muffins and cheesecakes, as well as a cooler-than-the-norm beverage menu. We recommend their dirty chai latte (also available as a chilled shake), essentially a chai latte spiked with a shot of espresso, that's perfect for rainy days and an interesting mango and sticky rice concoction.
