After a bike crash left him paralyzed from the neck down, the Water Library group executive chef returns with two "pay-as-you-wish" dinners.

Save the date and book fast! Water Library group executive chef Haikal Johari is heading back to the kitchen for a two-night charity dinner event on May 22 and 24.

Known for helming the defunct high-end chef's table restaurant Water Library Thonglor, chef Johari then opened Seed, the group's newest Western fusion restaurant.

But after a serious motorcyle accident last October, chef Johari suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the neck down. (You may have noticed he hasn't made any appearance in the media since Seed opened.)

Now that he's on the road to recovery, he wants to give back. He's holding two dinners priced as "pay as you wish" with all proceeds going to a spine research institute.

On May 22, he collaborates with his right-hand chef Pakapat "Jao" Sakyaso (chef de cuisine at Seed) to roll out a five-course dinner at the Sukhumvit Soi 39 venue.

While on May 24, he teams up with Water Library Chamchuri's chef Mirco Keller to offer a six-course dinner at his fine-dining restaurant.
