Caribbean restaurant Lime House set to open in Singapore at the end of June.
Caribbean restaurant Lime House (2 Jiak Chuan Rd.) is set to open at the end of June on the same stretch as izakaya Mariko’s and cocktail bar The Cufflink Club.
The decor of the two storey establishment will be homey and rustic featuring raw unfinished walls, mismatched vintage tables and chairs, plus an antique Peranakan door fixture.
Restaurant owner Chris Morris hails from Trinidad and Tobago and has been in Singapore for five years. He’s brought in London-based Caribbean celeb chef Hassan Dafour to consult on the menu.
Food-wise, expect dishes such as slipper lobster salad, jerk chicken and curry goat with rice peas. Drinks will include a variety of rum-baked tipples like the passion fruit sour ($19) and the classic rum punch ($16), a potent mix featuring both rum and 7 Up. The average bill should come up to $50-$75 per head.
