In a soi made up entirely of Middle Eastern restaurants, Shahrazad still manages to stand out. It claims to be the oldest one there and has even popped up on the radar of foodies. Chicken is the only doner kebab option, but it is succulent and has a mild resemblance to chicken tikka. Shahrazad also has some excellent mezzes (B300), and don’t leave without ordering the grilled leg of lamb (B300).

It has been our Lebanese mainstay for years, and is one of the few solid options outside of Nana for affordable and authentic Lebanese-style doner kebabs (beef or chicken, B180), served with hummus. Despite the large menu selection, the food here is comforting and consistent.

These Lebanese expats are committed to serving authentic dishes such as the kebab khashkhash (B210) which combines tender skewers of charcoalgrilled lamb and a wonderfully tasty tomato sauce. The best time to try their kebabs is during their Super Sunday BBQ buffet from 12pm-3pm (B555), when it’s also 50 percent off beers.
