Ready your wallets and appetites for these seven soon-to-open dining establishments that are making us foodies really excited (and hungry).

1. Casual Thai eatery Long Chim by chef David Thompson—the talent behind Bangkok's Nahm, which picked up the award for Asia’s Best Restaurant earlier this year—is scheduled to open at Marina Bay Sands by mid-year.

2. Also opening mid-year is a new outlet by The Privé Group in CHIJMES (the historical site is currently undergoing a major revamp) and not much is being revealed at this point.

3. More secrecy behind the now defunct Au Jardin at Singapore Botanic Gardens: a new restaurant is taking over the fine dining spot and will officially launch later this year.

4. Opening even sooner (this Saturday, March 29 to be exact) is Makansutra’s second outlet, Seefood Seeshore, at Sentosa’s Palawan Beach. There'll be a total of nine stalls and you can expect some of Singapore's most iconic hawkers to be there, including a well-known zi char stall, which will be serving up items like popiah quesadillas and shrimp and potato grits.

5. For more local grub (or Mod Sin, if you will), stay tuned for the launch of Ujong—the latest project by Shen Tan (of the now defunct Wok & Barrel) which will take over Empire Cafe at Raffles Hotel. There's nothing much on their Facebook page for now but if you want to, go ahead and stalk them there.

6. There's also South American-inspired eatery PISCO set to open at Resorts World Sentosa some time in April. From ceviche to meat on skewers, expect a range of classic dishes from Peru, Chile and other South American countries.

7. Fancy more exotic fare? Try Alpine cuisine at ZOTT'S, where specialty dishes from the mountainous areas of Europe, from France to Austria, take center stage. Doors open to the public April 4.
