An underwater club in the Maldives
This swanky resort just opened up its second island, with jungle restaurants and underwater clubs. There’s an amazing introductory offer too.
Located 45 minutes by seaplane from Male, Niyama Resorts recently opened its second island Play, that’s connected to the resort’s original island, Chill, by a bridge. It's got 48 new villas, including overwater pavilions and beach facing suites with obligatory panoramas of the Indian Ocean.
Other luxe facilities include a round the clock butler service and a supercharged fridge that’s packed with gourmet drinks and snacks like popcorn and ice cream (and for free, too).
Foodwise, there’s Nest, a multi-level treetop restaurant in the the jungle that does Asian plates ranging from Thai to teppanyaki. You can also choose to dine in private pods that are suspended in the air. For a more laidback option, there’s beachfront restaurant BLU that serves smoothies, sherbet and crepes.
You can also cross the bridge over to Chill for the spa that comes with eight treatment rooms and also Subsix—the world’s first underwater club that regularly hosts a rotating lineup of international artists.
And now, for the best bit: the special introductory offer. Book from now till Mar 31 and you’ll get to save 30% on the best available rate. The package also comes with a 60-minute spa treatment for two, lunch at Subsix and dinner for two at Blue. Room rates start from at US$1,015 ($1,381) and is available for stays from now till Dec 31, 2015. More details here.
