4. Tussling with the censorship board, who have once again made numerous unnecessary cuts to your edgy film.

5. You spend your days filling out endless grants and paperwork.

6. You know that someday, somehow, your work is going to be important to society. You just hope that day comes sooner rather than later so you can pay your bills.

7.You’ve turned to crowdfunding to fund your latest gig or artistic venture.
