PHITSANULOK
Golden Discovery
Thailand just got a new travel destination. Earlier this month, a nine-level waterfall was discovered amid the lush Benjapan forest in Phitsanulok’s Wangthong district. Phai Si Thong (golden bamboo) features a number of 15-meter cascades spread over a distance of 1.5km. Last week the province’s tourism office officially opened the waterfall as a new travel destination, announcing plans to promote homestay services in the area, as well as agricultural tours. For more information, call TAT Phitsanulok on 055-252-742/3 or 055-231-063.
