Watch Robert Redford float adrift in the ocean in All is Lost or warm your heart with Kim Mordaunt's The Rocket, set in Laos. Also, we think Joaquin Phoenix falling in love with the voice of Scarlett Johansson in Spike Jonze's Her (read our review here) should set you up nicely for Valentine's Day.

This new film from Spike Jonze follows lonesome writer Theodore (Joaquin Phoenix) who, after a divorce, purchases an artificially intelligent operating system with a voice called Samantha, who he slowly falls in love with.

Awarded Berlin International Film Festival’s Best Film; set in the stunning rural landscape of Laos, Kim Mordaunt directs the eventful quest of 10-year-old boy Ahlo (Sitthiphon Disamoe), deemed a jinx by everyone around him, to prove them all wrong by entering the Rocket Festival with his own giant rocket. Also stars Suthep Po-ngam.
