Singapore will host Asia's biggest animal welfare conference Asia for Animals from January 13 to 17 at the Furama RiverFront Hotel

The biennial event was launched in 2001 by the Asia for Animals (AfA) Coalition and this is Singapore's third time to host. With this year's theme "Confronting Cruelty", over 100 organizations will participate to discuss issues like wildlife trade and animals in captivity.

Talks and discussions aside, there will be workshops addressing issues such as alternatives to animal testing in education and traditional animal sacrifices.

A pass to the full conference costs $300, or $250 for students, while daily passes cost $100.

Visit the official AFA website for more info.
