Chinatown's underground drinking spot isn't about to remain secret for long.

Just as we've spilled the beans on Singapore's hottest hidden haunts, a "new" underground bar has recently sprung up on our radar: 22, which takes its name after its address at 22 Mosque Street.

The chic, stripped-down bar with an unpretentious vibe, which soft opened in October last year according to its facebook page, serves serious cocktails and Thai snacks after hours. In the day, it operates as a bistro, offering Thai cuisine. On the playlist are chill-out lounge tunes, with guest DJs taking over the decks every last Saturday of the month.

Founded by established Malaysian designer PC Ee, the man behind design label Exit Studio in Singapore, 22 also doubles as a gallery, showcasing works by budding contemporary artists.
