Last month, we saw another breakthrough innovation for the airline business: Royal Dutch Airlines (www.klm.co.th) has rolled out a new service for friend-finding addicts called “Meet & Seat.” Passengers logging in with Facebook or LinkedIn accounts are eligible to see other passenger’s profiles, allowing them to choose seats next to people they might share interests with. Of course, you can choose exactly how much info you’d like to reveal about yourself. Well, despite sounding like a dating service, the airline insists this service is not meant to help you join the Mile High Club. Right now it’s available for long-haul flights from Amsterdam to New York, San Francisco and Sao Paulo only. Email us if you’ve ever tried it at [email protected].
