While THAI is struggling to form a new budget airline to compete with Air Asia’s regional expansion, Air Asia itself is now setting its sights on the north Asian market. A collaboration with ANA, AirAsia Japan will be the newest low-cost airline based at Tokyo’s Narita Airport. The Air Asia-ANA joint venture will launch its first flight in Aug 2012. We hope this means cheaper Bangkok-Tokyo flights, too.
