The Growing Income Gap
A recent ABAC poll reveals that while 5.1% of respondents making less than B15,000 a month have seen their income increase in the first quarter of 2011, 24.1% of those making more than B75,000 a month are now making more money. In plain English, that means the poor are not getting richer, but the rich are. Also, 56% of the respondents in the below B15,000 bracket said their income dropped—that’s poor people getting poorer. How is this a threat to you (we’re guessing you make more than 15K)? Crime, social instability—you name it.
