If you didn't know it already, yesterday our glorious and kind leaders over in parliament have seen it fit to grant us an extra day's vacation next year. Being the conscientious types that they are, they've clearly been busy working out their leave for 2011 (you have to book early for bargain deals after all). They obviously noticed that Monday May 16 was a real hindrance, stopping us all enjoying a lovely five day weekend. Solution? Let everyone have the day off. Of course the cynics amongst us can't help but think it's really a wonderful preemptive move to ensure that by the time the anniversary of the protests comes around next year everyone thinking of marking the occasion will be too drunk on rice wine. Well whatever that's what we're going to be doing anyway.
