With such a large Filipino population, you’d expect there’d be a lot more of this cuisine around Bangkok. Kalamansi Cafe in Sathorn has been a go-to for people who like Filipino cuisine for the last five years, but they’ve recently spread their wings to Thonglor.
Kalamansi Kitchen, named for the eponymous citrus fruit, is currently in a soft opening phase but people who’ve been to their Sathorn location will know what to expect: classic dishes in big portions.
Found right across from Thonglor Eight and in a soft opening since April, you’ll find a large menu here catering to both niche and broad tastes across Filipino cuisine. For example, the beef pares with bone marrow is their own take on a fairly recent popular dish, but you’ll also find huge, meaty, uncomplicated dishes like the whopping crispy pork cata that can feed a group.
Other classic dishes worth checking out are their adobo with beef and the KFC (Kalamansi Fried Chicken). They also boast a wide variety of seafood, so be sure to check out the slate for the daily chef selection.
You can get a few Philippines specific alcohol options here, including some craft beers, but you also have the option to sample Lambanóg, if that’s been on your foodie bucket list.

As for desert, if you were wondering, Kalamansi Kitchen does have a halo-halo topped with taro ice cream. But—and we’re serious about this—don’t get the large version unless you’re planning on sharing.
As for the vibe, you can expect a similar cafe-style sit-down space as exists at their Kalamansi Cafe spot, though with a little more artwork, and a very downtown, tall window feel across two floors.
