If you have a hankering for Italian food, whether that means cooking at home or just eating it, Gourmet Market’s city-wide "Taste of Italy Food Showcase 2025” is back from now until Feb. 13. The event, organized in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency and the Embassy of Italy in Thailand, is currently running in Gourmet Markets across several shopping centers in Bangkok, including EmQuartier, Emporium, EmSphere, and The Mall Lifestore locations in Ngamwongwan, Bangkae, and Bangkapi, as well as Paragon Department Store.
The showcase features over 800 products from approximately 130 Italian brands, and is meant to be a one-stop-shop of sorts for all things Italian — including a lot of products you wouldn’t normally find on shelves or would at least be hard to find. Some of the highlights include Giaveri Beluga & Siberian caviar, Venchi Chocoviar chocolates, Guglielmi organic olive oil, Colavita Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP, and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese aged for 24 months. For people with deep pockets and a taste for the funkier side of things, truffle-infused products like Sacchi Tartufi Black Truffle Paste and Geofoods Honey with Truffle are also available. Additionally, visitors can find Italian pasta varieties, specialty snacks, and Red Pop apples, known for their bright red color and crisp texture.
Beyond shopping, you can also check out a handful of cooking workshops and tasting sessions featuring traditional Italian dishes. One of the more interesting ones is Fettuccine Alfredo, a controversial dish to some (yes, it was indeed invented in Italy, not America) known for its combination of pasta, Parmesan cheese, and butter. There are a few other tastings to try, like beef lasagna, and ready-to-eat Italian-inspired soups and salads.
To make things easier, you can order items and food on-site via Gourmet Market’s “Call-Chat-Shop” service via LINE (@gourmetmarketth) or the online shop at
www.GourmetMarketThailand.com. Foreign tourists holding the M Expatriate Card can also snag special promotions like discounts on select caviar products and vouchers for purchases made during the event.
Taste of Italy Food Showcase 2025 runs from now until Feb. 13 at select Gourmet Market locations across the city.
