BK’s 2025 guide to upcoming music festivals and concerts in Bangkok
Green Day, Kylie Minogue, Keshi, Glass Animals, bluegrass, EDM, hip-hop, and more.
Last year was a big one for music lovers, and 2025 concerts already feature some big names, including the likes of Green Day, Maroon 5, and Kylie Minogue. Other festivals are set to return, including Asia’s biggest hip-hop festival, Rolling Loud, and Wonderfruit, the music and lifestyle event that put Thailand on the map. BK will be keeping this list updated throughout the year, so watch this space.
The Bangkok Music Fest this year has already begun, and they’ll be playing for two more months throughout the city. Throughout the period, they’ll be featuring folk music, Bangkok Big Band, the Bangkok Metropolitan Orchestra, and more. All events are free to the public. More info here.
This Texas-born indie band has garnered world-wide acclaim with hits like “Apocalypse”, “Cry”, and “Sunset”. Apocalypse alone has 1.5 billion streams on Spotify. Greg Gonzalez, Jacob Tomsky, Randall Miller will be playing Impact Exhibition Hall 5 as part of the X’s world tour. Tickets here.
This duo out of Japan is hot right now. Their “Into The Night (Yoru ni Kakeru)” hit from 2019 put them on the map, with streams surpassing 1 billion for the first time ever, and they followed up with “Idol” which charted at #1 for 21 weeks. Tickets here, Yaosobi
Playing Bangkok for two nights, this K-pop crew will be hitting Impact Exhibition Hall 5-6. A big deal in the world of K-pop, 2NE1 will be bringing their four-member group to perform hits like “Fire” and “I Don't Care”. Tickets here.
Metalheads will want to head down to the new and improved Rock Pub for a thrash metal show from the Suicidal Angels, a band that made it big in 2001 with Profane Prayer—playing for just one night in Bangkok. Tickets here.
The pop-rock sensation Maroon 5 is set to return to Bangkok in February of next year for a show at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani. The tour will be hitting five major Asian cities: Jakarta, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Kaohsiung, and finally Bangkok on Feb 3. This will be the seventh Maroon 5 show in Thailand. Hoo doggy! If you like bluegrass, folk, and Irish tunes, this is probably going to be the biggest event on the Bangkok calendar, with jam sessions from local Thai acts, international players, trad sessions—and to top it all off, the event is flying in the Bluegrass Police to headline the show. They’ll also be having a market and drink deals to sweeten the pot. Tickets here.
The Corrs will play Bangkok for the first time ever. The Irish band has been making headlines since the 1990s and their albums have sold millions. Poppy and heartfelt, the band will be playing Paragon Hall this February. Tickets here.
Well, this is a big one. Green Day defined the popular punk scene in the 90s and early 2000s. This February, Green Day—with frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Trey Cool—will be hitting Impact Arena on Feb 12, 2025. Credited with reviving mainstream punk with their 10x platinum diamond status “Dookie” in 1994, Bangkok knows Green Day because the band hit the city 28 years ago with their first showing in Thailand in 1996 at MBK’s Maboonkrong center. Long from his boy band days, Nick Carter, formerly of the Backstreet Boys, will be performing solo for a show on Feb 17 for the Who Am I world tour at Idea Live. If he was your favorite member of BSB, now’s your chance. Tickets here.
Coming to Bangkok for one night only, The Script, which has been making tunes since 2001, will be playing the Muang Thong Thani Thunderdome. This band really made their mark with "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" in 2008—lifting vocals, emotional lifts, and heady tunes. Tickets here.
Chart topper Olivia Dean will be putting on a show at Centerpoint Studio this Feb, her first ever show in Southeast Asia, recently having released her debut album, Messy, which hit #4 on the UK’s Official Album Chart. Tickets here.
A little bit boy band, a little bit hip-hop, the eight-man crew NCT 127 will be playing Bangkok for two shows in February as part of their Neo City Tour. Tickets here.
Heartthrob Keshi will be bringing his smooth vocals to the Impact Arena for a one-night-only show as part of the Requiem tour. Fans can expect supporting act Boylife to warm of the crowd. Tickets here.
After three years without it, Bangkok Music City returns to the city with Thai and international artists that will be playing around Bangkok, along with panels and meet and greets, and local artists can apply to participate until Feb 8 of this year. More info here.
For you indie fans out there, Bangkok music lovers will get an indie treat in the form of Glass Animals. Fronted by the dreamy Dave Bayley, the band has been popping out hits for more than a decade, with their first big hits coming from their platinum “Gooey” on the Zaba album. The four-man British group formed in 2010, and their biggest hit “Heat Waves” has more than 762 million views on YouTube and more than two billion streams on Spotify—billion, with a “B”. You might know her as the absinthe-fueled pixie in “Moulin Rouge” or Doctor Who’s short-lived (literally) assistant, but you’re more likely to know this artist from her dozens of pop hits for decades. After her stint on popular Australian TV show “Neighbours” in 1988, the star released her first album Kylie in 1988 with her first international hit, a cover of Little Eva's “The Loco-Motion.” This year, she’s playing Bangkok as part of the Tension Tour. With a recent location change, this massive festival in Pattaya will kick off on Mar 14 at the Treasure Hill Golf Club featuring Corinne Baily, Rae, Dapapepe, Honne, Dayglow, Paper Kites, and more. Tickets here.
One for the headbangers out there. Not much is known about this event just yet, or the current venue listed as VOM Records, but the show will be bringing death metal from Laos and more from live local bands. More info here.
The South Korean boyband BoyNextDoor will play the Muang Thong Thani Thunderdome for a one night show as part of their Knock On Vol.1 Tour. The six-man group came on the scene in 2023 with their hit "But I Like You". This will be their first performance in Bangkok. Tickets here.
This year, Subculture is coming with the Future Sound of Egypt for a two-day trance and EDM event. While some of the details have been announced, we’re still waiting on details for this mega-event.
Taking place at RCA, the three-day pass tickets are already sold out for this event, but four-day passes are still available. It’s going to be one of the biggest, wettest parties for the biggest holiday of the year. They recently announced their phase one lineup with the likes of Steve Aoki, B2B, and Dmitri Vegas. As part of her The Secret of Us tour, Gracie Abrams will be gracing Samyan Mitrtown Hall for a show, the tail end of the show after hitting Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taipei. Tickets here.
Marion Raven and Marit Larsen are coming to Bangkok from Norway and will be putting on a one-night concert performing their greatest hits in May. This is a blast from the past, with this duo cranking out hits in the early 2000s. Tickets here.
While no official details have been announced for this event yet, those who were leaving the festival got the news this year that they plan to return at a new venue with reduced ticket prices. And, considering one of the headliners pulled out at the last minute last year, that could be a good move. Tickets here.
The tickets may be a little confusing, but this is one of the biggest events on Thailand's event calendar and they’re expected to return for 2025. However, no details have been released as yet regarding the launch of this festival.
