Fatty’s Bar and Diner celebrates their 10 years anniversary with a party this weekend
Burgers, buffalo wings, live music, and craft beer all weekend.
A famously grungy space in Rama 9, Fatty’s Bar and Diner will be throwing their 10th anniversary party, Fat Fest X, this weekend (May 27-28) from 4pm until people pass out.
Over the two days, they will be doing a limited picnic-style food menu in a mostly Wisconsin style: bratwurst, hot dogs, chili, and tacos with potato salad, coleslaw, and a few other sides. You’ll also find beer specials, chugging contests, and over 10 bands playing live music. Free entry.
“It feels like 10 years of hard-working and hard partying are catching up with me,” says Matthew Fischer, the owner of Fatty’s. “I couldn’t do it without my lovely wife Kae and my loyal team.”
Fatty’s mostly flies under the radar but boasts a loyal following and has a strong sense of community—plus a rock and roll vibe offering one of the most legit live music venues in Bangkok. Fatty’s serves all-American junk food from burgers (starting at B210) to buffalo wings (starting at B130) and to hot dogs (starting at B130) at reasonable prices.
Fatty’s Bar & Diner, 598/66 Asoke Din Daeng Rd., 081-438-7721; 02-245-2965. Open Tue-Fri 11am-11pm; Sat-Sun 11am-11pm.
