Who needs friends when you have meat?

Good news for those unable to find anyone to share barbecue with as popular Japanese grill spot Yakiniku Like has announced it will open its first Thai branch at CentralPlaza Lardprao next month.

Known for catering to single hungry souls who need large amounts of meat, Yakiniku Like was the first BBQ spot in Japan to offer individual and smokeless grills for both single and small groups.

Worried about social distancing? The place has taken the measure to its extreme with minimal human interaction – think contactless ordering via tablets.

While the Thai branch’s official Facebook page doesn’t offer many details about the menu, it does promise a variety of cuts, from B220 (SGD 8.80) for 100 grams of inexpensive sliced meat to B660 (SGD 27.80) for a 180-gram cut of wagyu steak.

Yakiniku Lane spot has 32 outlets worldwide, with Thailand being its latest addition.
