Down with commute time, up with rest time.

In response to requests for accommodation within a short radius of hospitals, hotel chain OYO has announced that it will be offering free rooms to emergency healthcare practitioners at two of its partner hotels in Bangkok and Pattaya. The offer is open to workers from public hospitals who are treating Covid-19 cases and will stand for the duration of the state of emergency—currently through Apr 30.

The two properties are Na Banglampoo Hotel Bangkok (131 Phra Sumen Rd.) and OYO 419 Maleewan Jomtien Pattaya. Healthcare practitioners working within the vicinity can book rooms by contacting 081-646-3936 between 9am-7pm daily. Proof of employment in the form of staff ID will be required at check-in.

Through this move, it is hoped that health workers can reduce their commute times, ensuring that they stay safe and well-rested. More hotels are expected to join the campaign over the coming weeks. All of the hotel’s public facilities are closed and only in-room dining is facilitated, while all rooms are sanitised before check-in and after check-out.
