Vesper has just launched an awesome new cocktail menu
Shaking it up.
Convent Road's Vesper has been on an impressive run since opening, from a string of accolades afforded to head barman Supawit “Palm” Muttarattana—winner of Diageo World Class Thailand 2012 and the Campari Bartender Competition Asia Pacific 2019—to earning a no. 26 spot on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2019. The bar's long-standing Art Book menu arguably nudged the city’s cocktail scene forward by finding inspiration in an unusual source: the underlying meaning of fine art from across the world. After three editions, Art Book has run its course.
Now, hot off the heels of taking home another BAD Award, the Vesper team have rolled out “Contrast,” a new menu that marries diametrically opposed ideas into unique concoctions like the Moon and Sun (B400), a mix of toasted sunflower seeds, honey Galliano, Cocchi Americano, Tanqueray and sparkling wine, and the Deep/Shallow (B370), which unites seaweed, pineapple, coconut, citrus smoked whiskey and Bacardi Carta Blanca. Meanwhile, Local Global (B370) nods to Thai favorites with a Chang beer and Red Bull reduction, palm sugar, pineapple and lime Phraya rum.
For those who’d rather stick to the classics or are mourning their former Art Book menu, they’ve got you covered with their “Hall of Fame” selection, which keeps the Silver Vesper (B440), Grapes of Wrath (B400) and Flower Carrier (B440), among others, alive.
