Head for the hills.

Escape from Bangkok for the weekend with Karma Kastle 2, a three-day music festival taking place less than three hours’ drive away in Khaoyai.

From May 17-19, you could be dancing to electronic music from over 20 DJs with a lush green mountain backdrop. Included on the lineup are Germany's DJ Dustin, head of the Giegling label, his labelmate Dwig and alumni Sevensol (KANN Records). Japan will be represeted by DJ Ground and Akirahawks, while Thomas Von Party represents Canada. Expect plenty more top names from around the region and home.

The event will take place at Mirasierra Khaoyai, a Spanish hacienda-inspired boutique resort and stables hidden way out in the jungle.

The ticket price includes camping for those willing to brave the heat, otherwise a number of hotels have partnered with Karma Klique, who will arrange a shuttle service from the festival.

Channeling music as a means to bring people together and do good for society, Karma’s events are known to help raise funds towards different charities. Their parties usually takes place in out-of-the-box locations, while the firm favorite has to be their open-air boat parties (Karma Kruise).

575, Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima, 089-171-8088. Tickets are B2,800 via Ticketmelon.
