Drink up and decide the "best IPA in Thailand"
Taste 13 IPAs for B500, with bonus pulled pork sandwiches.
Hops-loving beer drinkers will descend on Surawong's Roadhouse BBQ for the third edition of the IPA Challenge on Mar 31.
Their mission? To decide, for this year at least, who does the "best IPA in Thailand."
Importers Beervana, Smiling Mad Dog, Hopsession and B-delicious Co. will vie for bragging rights by offering up their prize India Pale Ales for the tasting pleasure of up to 50 ticket-holders.
For B500, you get to blind taste 13 IPAs (2.5 oz pours), which you're asked to rate according to appearance, aroma, taste, mouthfeel and overall impression. The beers will be served from lightest to heaviest ABV, and won't be announced beforehand.
Before the numbers are crunched and the top three rated IPAs unveiled, there'll be a break from drinking for some of Roadhouse's superb pulled pork sandwiches and other American-style bar snacks.
Entry is limited to 50 seats. Tickets on sale now from the venue.
2-5pm. Roadhouse BBQ, 942/1 Rama 4 Rd., 02-236-8010. Open daily 10.30-12.30am
