The largest Don Don Donki in Singapore opens at City Square Mall
Comes with a new food court and bargain section
As promised, Japan’s Don Quijote guys are continuing their massive expansion plan in Singapore, and the next neighborhood getting a Don Don Donki outlet (after the Orchard flagship and the Tanjong Pagar one) is Little India.
Opening in Basement 2 of City Square Mall this Friday (Jan 11) at 10am, this new Don Don Donki, covering around 2,415 square metres of retail space, is the largest one not just in Singapore, but in the entire Southeast Asia region yet. Expect all the usual goodies at this new branch, plus new unique offerings like a food court and bargain section.
Food Court
There will be five different stores at the food court, including Hokkaido Ramen Santouka (famed ramen store), Yakiniku Heijoen (beef bowls), Bonta Bonta (unagi and seafood bowls), Rang Mang Shokudo (karaage with custom sauces) and Naganuma Ice No-ie (homemade ice creams). We suspect it’ll somewhat resemble Hokkaido Marche.
As for the bargain section found in a dedicated corner of the store, be prepared to rummage through carton boxes and hunt for bargains with prices starting from as low as $2 (step aside Daiso).
Other than the new offerings, there’ll be even more of the things we already know and love, such as a more extensive roster of perishables and delicatessen, and of course, the freshly cooked Japanese croquette, sweet potato and other piping hot street snacks.
Don Don Donki City Square Mall opens Jan 11 at 10am, and operates daily thereafter from 9am-midnight.
