This photographer unpacks Chinese femininity in intimate images
Recently featured on the BBC’s 100 Women list, Luo Yang will exhibit in Bangkok this month.
Photographer Luo Yang showcases intimate portrait series “Girls,” which explores femininity and its place in contemporary China through images of Chinese women that she’s met in her private life over a 10-year period.
Luo Yang was recently featured on the BBC’s 100 Women—a list that cites the world’s most influential women. Her work is like a personal diary, cataloging a constant search for answers regarding her feminine identity, played out through her subjects.
Co-curated by Chomwan Weeraworawit and RDX Offsite. Presented by Moonduckling and produced by Annette Fausboll, Jean Alexandre Luciani and Julien Favre. There'll be an artist talk at Woof Pack on Dec 12, 6:30pm.
