Three Michelin-endorsed chefs teaming up for new-wave Portuguese dinner
For two nights only.
Having steered the restaurant in a Portuguese fine-dining direction since his arrival back in 2016, Il Fumo’s head chef Nelson Amorim (previously of the three-Michelin-starred Otto e Mezzo Bombana in Hong Kong) will be teaming up with two more Portuguese chefs with Michelin-backing this Oct 10 and 11 for the seventh episode of "Portugal, the New Dawn."
Helping execute the restaurant’s very first “six hands” dinner will be guest chef Alexandre Silva, who trained at three-Michelin-starred El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, Spain, before going on to gain a Michelin star for his own Loco Restaurant in Lisbon.
Chef Nelson’s older brother, chef Antonio Amorim (currently of Fabrica Pastel de Feijao, Lisbon) will be joining with his wealth of experience from stints in the Algarve’s two-Michelin-star Villa Joya and Lisbon’s one-Michelin-star Feitoria.
Together, they will be presenting new-wave Portuguese cuisine in seven courses (B3,400), where classics like Portuguese rice and pastel de feijao (Portuguese kidney bean cakes) will be given cutting-edge modern twists. Wine pairing available for an additional B1,400.
