Who pays the price for your clothing?

To coincide with the global Fashion Revolution Week 2018, the group of ethical fashion practitioners behind Fashion Revolution Thailand will be hosting two evenings (Apr 26-27) of insightful discussion on ethical fashion, as well as a film screening and presentations about some of the most pressing issues of the fashion industry: human rights, fair pay and environmental impact.

The Ethical Fashion Forum will be taking place on Thu, Apr 26 with presentations from social fashion entrepreneurs like Bhukram (pictured right), Folkcharm (left) and Seeker x Retriever (center), World Fair Trade Organization Asia, the Fashion Revolution Thailand team, and textile designer Kamonnart Ongwandee. There will also be a panel discussion about ethical concerns on the future of fashion.

Friday, Apr 27 will see the screening of The True Cost, a 2015 documentary film directed by Andrew Morgan that discusses several pressing issues withing the garment industry, particularly the lives of low-wage workers in developing countries and the after-effects such as river and soil pollution, and pesticide contamination. A talk about SMEs with Chale Wutthanan, founder of successful textile business Pasaya, will also be held.
