Now that the Premier League has kicked off, forget the usual British sports bars, and head to one of these buzzing Thai pubs that'll be showing the game on the big screen.

Est. 33

Not just a bar but a microbrewery, this chic-looking spot serves up some tasty food to go with the freshly-brewed beers. The place also doubles as a mini beer museum (with a resident brewmaster), aiming to impart the history of Est. 33, Singha beer’s premium sister product. Sit at the bar, hugging the glass tanks, and watch all the sport action while your beer brews right in front of you.

Bldg. E, Crystal Design Center, 1420/1 Praditmanoontham Rd., 02-102-2096. Open daily 5pm-midnight

Baan Puen

This open air, semi-industrial styled bar is always happening. Located on the rooftop of Ekamai Mall, Baan Puen lives up to its name with its friendly atmosphere, which literally translates to “a friend’s house.” The prices are also wallet-friendly. The owners look to offer a folksy, toned-down alternative to Ekkamai's hi-so clubs with a focus on easy-listening live indie music as well as some live sporting action on TVs.

3/F, Ekamai Mall, Ekkamai Soi 10, 061-824-1747, Open daily 6pm-1am

Nineteens Up

This bar is like a playground for adults, filled with games and activities meant to rekindle the spirit of uni drinking days. It all takes place in an atmosphere that’s very “startup rec room” (think whitewashed bricks and street art) despite the unlikely location in Baan Silom, towards the Charoenkrung end of the road.  Board games, pool tables, a table tennis table, an air hockey table and TVs to screen live football complete the picture.

Silom Soi 19, 096-649-6919. Open daily 11-1am

Stay Ekamai

From a rustic-cool, geometric glass cube on Ekkamai Road, chug on beer towers and munch on gab glaem as you watch the game. The easygoing, chill vibe spills outside, where rickety wooden stools and leather couches provide a friendly atmosphere just perfect for watching the live sport sessions that play on the screen, while chatting to random strangers.

Ekkamai Soi 8, 089-227-4040. Open daily 6pm-1am

Sit & Sip

Where better to watch live Premier League football in Bangkok than at an alfresco rooftop bar located above a football pitch? Sit & Sip sits atop a five-a-side pitch with 360-degree views overlooking the action. The bar is decorated in a beer garden style with a big stage at the front.

Flick Football, 737 Praditmanutham Rd., 081-388-0909, 081-879-9906. Open daily 6pm-1am
