With an emphasis on seasonal produce plucked fresh from local gardens.

After a year selling baked goods, Hua Hin's Tanya's Homemade Eatery (www.fb.com/Tanyashomemade) has stepped up its Thai culinary game.

Tucked away in Seenspace seaside mall, the restaurant now specializes in seasonal, organic produce plucked fresh from local gardens, and in food that manages to be both tasty and nutritious. To this end, they’re employing punchy herbs, homemade chili pastes in their curries and mushroom sauce in place of the MSG injection that is oyster sauce.

Try the signature mhee gati (rice noodles with coconut curry, B195), or the sweet and tangy shellfish mixed with fruit salad (B195)—a twist on a traditional Hua Hin dish that uses only papaya.

The restaurant’s half-mint, half-black painted walls, and large, airy windows give the space a comforting feel.
