JW Marriott is bringing over Italian guest chef Daniele Trivero, who has been with the Singapore Marriott Hotel since Nov 2014, to throw an Italian dinner buffet from Mar 17-31 at Marriott Cafe.

For B1,690 (Sun-Thu) or B1,990 (Fri-Sat), enjoy Trivero's specially created dishes including lamb shank, stuffed suckling pig, honey and Peroni beer-roasted pork ribs and Southern Italian-style seafood salad, along with a premium selection of Italian cheese and cold cuts. Finish your meal with his tiramisu or Sicilian ricotta cake—or both.

On Mar 18, Trivero will also hold a gnocchi making class (B1,500). On top of that, there will be two gala dinners: the Illy Gala Dinner on Mar 24 (B5,200), during which every course will be mixed with a coffee cocktail or drink, and the Italian Gala Dinner on Mar 30 (B4,400, add B800 for wine pairing).

With a background that spans Italy's North (where his father came from a small city in Piedmont) and South (his mother being from Puglia), Trivero has developed his own culinary style that incorporates his food experiences from both regions.

JW Marriott, 4 Sukhumvit Soi 2, 02-656-7700. Mar 17-31, 6:30-10:30pm
