In some minds, getting fined for drink driving is the festival organizer's fault.

Thailand was very busy with music festivals over the Feb 18-19 weekend. Along with Wonderfruit and Gypsy Carnival, Maya Music Festival also returned for its third year, organized by Krit Sripoomseth, a Thai actor and DJ.

Around midday on Sunday, an admin of the Facebook page Maya Music Festival posted the status: "So how was it last night?!" The post has had over 1,700 shares and around 1,000 comments.

And not all of them were happy. One of the main causes for complaint was that festival-goers got caught drink driving on their way home.

"There were police on the street, checking for drunk drivers and I was pulled over," said one commenter. "Luckily I had two mints before being tested and my alcohol level was 47. F*ck, almost had to spend the night in jail."

In some people's minds, the fact that police were doing their job is a direct sign of bad festival management. "When I left the festival, there were police, why didn't you sort the police out before you threw an event? It was a sh*t festival."

In another post, someone directly blames the festival for drink-driving fines: "We spend our money, buy your beer, support your product... then you give us back a fine by the police? At least let us know at the exit that there is a road block."

Fortunately, some people showed more sense. One reply to the above comment reads, "What do you mean 'sort the police out first?" You mean, you want to be able to drink and drive? If there is this kind of person in our society then it's scary as f*ck."

"If you are arrested for drink driving yourself then why are you blaming other people?" reads another. "Accept that it's your fault. I f*cking hate people like this, how the hell were you raised up as a kid?"

We think it's safe to say that this last comment says what we all are thinking.
