Bangkok’s top contemporary artists and where to catch their work this month

The Bangkok-based contemporary photographer is largely known for his nude photography that rebels against the country’s conservative attitude. His work has earned him a spot in Forbes Asia’s 2016 30 Under 30 for The Arts.
Based in Chiang Mai, Sutthirat's work involves photography, video, sculpture and installation used to explore global social issues. On top of being exhibited globally, she is also the co-founder of Chiang Mai Art Conversation, a non-profit art initiative aimed at promoting contemporary art in the city.
Born in Chaiyaphum, Thailand, he is a mixed-media artist whose work ranges from installation arts to photography to performance art. He is known for his signature use of natural materials, such as rice and silk, to comment on materialism, globalization and the bond between humans and nature.
One of the city’s main skywalks turns into an art hot spot for this month, with top Thai contemporary artists transforming the urban space with nature-inspired installations to add a touch of green to your Siam walk.
Considered one of the country’s most prominent abstract artists, his work uses geometric shapes, spatial forms, bright colors and ethereal layers to form minimalist pieces that often require imagination to decipher.
