Through till the end of May, the restaurants of Central Chidlom and Central Embassy get together to celebrate this year’s first episode of the biannual Restaurant Week (May 12-31). More than 40 venues have joined forces to roll out special dishes and decadent deals which make this the hottest foodie destination in town, all with a focus on dishes which are healthy yet delicious. Here are just some of the highlights you shouldn't miss.

1. The delicious quinoa dishes

Fans of quinoa will be delighted to find a wide range of options on the menus, from Paul’s salade quinoa avocat crevettes (quinoa salad with avocado and shrimps), to Siwilai Rocket’s Super Salad with citrus, red bell pepper and pickled vegetables, Dean & Deluca’s quinoa veggie burger and Minibar’s quinoa krapao with salmon steak and salmon roe.

2. Vegetarian creations from around the world

There are also plenty of vegetarian options, like Eathai’s guay tiew kua hed (stir-fried noodles with mushroom), which substitutes normal chicken meat with shiitake and straw mushrooms, Maisen’s kinu soft tofu salad and the New York-hailing Chikalicious dessert bar's vegan carrot cake.

3. Incredible salads with bold flavors

Salad lovers need head to Love Eat Bistro to try their green caviar salad, which features sea grapes and grilled salmon, Yuutaro for the tuna tataki (sliced seared tuna) salad with soy-onion dressing and Water Library Brasserie for their swimmer crab salad.

4. Hearty yet good-for-you salmon dishes 

Elsewhere in the two shopping malls, salmon takes center stage. Harrods Plantation Room presents Salmon En Colour (grilled salmon with homemade corn relish and grilled vegetables), while Audrey Cafe Glamour offers smoked salmon salad with sesame dressing and Ippudo tops vegetable noodles with a half-grilled salmon fillet.
