[SPONSORED] The Singapore nightlife scene may be evolving quickly into cute, little boutique events, but if you’re still into going big, consider some of these huge, multi-day parties happening around the region.

IT'S THE SHIP (Nov 4-7)

The world’s second-largest EDM cruise festival will be back for a third time, putting nearly 4,000 of you on board the 15-deck Royal Caribbean International cruise liner  Mariner of the Seas and taking you through the Strait of Malacca to Penang, before bringing you back to Singapore—all while partying to a roster of international EDM DJs. The line-up will be announced in May, but last year’s sell-out edition involved the likes of Kaskade and Headhunterz. There are all sorts of two-, three- and four-person cabin options, with prices working out to about $412 per person per night, inclusive of all dining, room service and use of ship facilities. More information here.

ZoukOut Boracay (Apr 30-May 1)

Why wait till December for Sentosa when you can get warmed up as early as later this month in beautiful Boracay? Under new owners Genting Hong Kong, ZoukOut is looking at regional expansion for the first time in its 15 years, with plans for a party in Hong Kong, too. The first of a three-event series this year, the Philippine island edition will feature headliners like DVBBS, DJ Vice and a travelling roster of resident Zouk DJs. Tickets are going for $59, and VIP packages are starting at $2,000, and you can hop on an affordable Tigerair flight to Kalibo for around $257 round-trip. More information here.

Vivid Sydney (May 27-Jun 18)

Sydney’s big annual arts and light show is back with some pretty big names on the roster. Not only will sites like the Royal Botanic Garden and the Sydney Opera House be bathed in gorgeous light and digital art installations, there will be concerts by New Order, Bon Iver and queen of the world Bjork, who will also unveil her new virtual reality project. There’s a dazzling speaker series, too, with talks by Jenji Kohan (creator of Orange is the New Black), legendary director Spike Jonze and Beau Willimon, screenwriter on House of Cards. More information here.

Rainforest World Music Festival (Aug 5-7)

In case you didn’t know, densely forested Sarawak in the heart of Borneo is home to an annual world music festival that brings together big-deal world music acts who share the stage with indigenous music over three days. During the days, it’s all about workshops, ethno-music lectures and jam sessions, and by night, attendees converge to the main stage. This year, headlining acts will include traditional Irish band Téada and Ghana’s best-loved vocalist Pat Thomas with the multi-instrumentalist Kwame Yeboah and his band. Tickets start at RM120 ($41) and are available through the official website.

Wonderfruit (Dec 15-18)

Thailand’s bohemian-bourgeois music festival has become an annual thing in Pattaya, entering its third year. They’ve already announced the dates for 2016, and while there’s no word about the line-up, previous editions included Little Dragon, Blond Redhead and Jon Hopkins. On the food front, some of Bangkok’s biggest restaurants are known to set up shop for the festival, including, in previous years Bo.lan and Gaggan (of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants fame). The added charm is that you’re actually camping (kind of glamping) out for three nights, with workshops and activities taking place during the day. Early bird tickets are on sale now, starting at THB4,000 ($155) for the full four days. More information here.
