White Shoes & The Couples Company (Nov 21)

This veteran Jakarta six-piece takes its inspiration from Indonesian film soundtracks of the '70s, 1930s jazz and 60s pop. They're also playing this weekend's Noise Market (Museum Siam), but we think Soulbar's heightened intimacy will be worth the admission. Prepare for an upbeat, toe-tapping evening. Neon Indian (Nov 26)

Mexican-born musician Alan Palomo burst onto the indie scene in 2009 with his album Psychic Chasms, full of homespun "chillwave" tracks with titles like "Deadbeat Summer," "Mind, Drips" (watch below) and "Should Have Taken Acid With You." Roscius (Dec 16)

Here's something a little different. Set to perform at Wonderfruit on Dec 19, this French-born producer's sound has been described as "world minimal disco." Live is all about improvisation, featuring bells, organic keyboards, voice samples and various percussive instruments. Watch the video below to whet your appetite before his Bangkok show.
