Talad Rodfai expands to a third location
The new night market on Kaset-Nawamin Road may well be founder Pairod Roikaew's most ambitious plan yet.
After successfully expanding to Ratchadapisek Road, Talad Rodfai (Train Night Market), led by antique merchant Pairod Roikaew, is making another big move. They've just announced they'll open a new branch in the Kaset-Nawamin area, under the theme of a full-blown train town.
Different from the main site on Srinakarin Road, which is full of old warehouses, the soon-to-open night market will be made up of old containers piled up to resemble a town decorated in a distinctly '50s theme with lots of retro and neon signage. The town will also have a faux train station, with shops occupying old train carriages.
There's good news for riders, too. Pairod plans to open a giant meet-up spot for cafe racers at the new market.
“I want to open a cafe like Ace Cafe London, where real cafe racers come to gather every weekend,” Pairod says.
Located on Kaset-Nawamin Road, connecting to Sukhaphiban 1 Road, the first phrase of the market, which is the normal flea market, will open in October, while the other container zone and train station is expected to be fully finished in January. Opening times are said to be Thu-Sun 5pm-1am. Stay up-to-date at www.fb.com/taradrodfi.KasetNawamin.
