Located in Pattaya, Mirabel Resort (www.mirabelthai.com) is a boutique resort that aims to cater to every member of the family--including pooches.

Most of the resort is surrounded by a giant swimmable chemical-free pool, dubbed a bio pool, which uses a natural filtration and oxygenation system from the surrounding plants and running waterfalls, similar to a natural river. There's also a separate swimming area for your furry friend, a mini-golf course, massage area and an on-site restaurant that also serves dog-friendly dishes.

There are only seven rooms on-site, ranging from standard two-person rooms and various suites to a family apartment for up to four people. As an added bonus, the apartment and suites also come equipped with private bio-pools.

Nightly rates range from B1,800-5,500 depending on day and room type. Bringing a pet? An additional B400 will be added to your total per day.

The resort also welcomes day guests with an entrance fee of B150 for humans and B90 for dogs to use the pool.
