For now, at least.

Blaq Lyte, the neon-tinged hip-hop nightclub responsible for getting Thonglor's partiers lit every Saturday night, is set to close at the end of May.

Owner Nick Supreda has revealed that the landlord has not renewed the club's lease, which means both Blaq Lyte and Future Factory, the electro bar on the rooftop floor that only opened in March, will both need to move.

Nick says the Blaq Lyte team is currently working hard to find a new home, but if they don’t succeed by the end of the month, the club will sadly have to temporarily close.

Blaq Lyte claimed Best New Bar at BK's debut B.A.D. Awards 2017 for bringing much-needed diversity to the Bangkok club scene, with owner Nick also donating his profits to 32 Foundation, an initiative to help orphans in the northeast of Thailand. In the past year they’ve hosted established international names like Andre Power from Soulection and DJ Paul from Three Six Mafia, as well as offered a stage for Bangkok's own rising talents.

Here's hoping they find a new home soon!
