The Great Escape, also known as the parking lot behind The Projector, has been a breath of fresh air, the location of several dance parties, book launches, a communal brunch, relaxed Sunday night drinks and other pleasurable experiences in its grungy-cool, semi-alfresco, concrete-chic surrounds.

So we're more than a little gutted that as of Sunday, Mar 13, it is closed for renovations, according to their Facebook. There's no word on when they expect to open again, and our request for comment hasn't yet been answered. Watch this space for more developments. Meantime, take your Tinder date elsewhere.
