The first-phase lineup for the debut Maho Rasop festival has been revealed, with English indie rock band The Vaccines and Australian electro-house act Miami Horror among the headliners.

Set to take place at Live Park Rama 9 on Nov 17, the festival is a joint effort from some of Bangkok’s best-loved indie music promoters, namely Have You Heard?, Seen Scene Space and music streaming service slash online music zine Fungjai.

For years, Bangkok indie fans have had to look abroad to get their festival fix, whether Singapore's Laneway or Japan's Fuji Rock and Summer Sonic offerings. In that respect, this is a very positive development.

The Vaccines formed in 2010 in West London and now have four studio albums to their name, the latest being Combat Sports which was released this year. The band has sold over 1 million records worldwide and is best known for their song "Post Break-Up Sex" from 2011, which has over 7 million views on YouTube. They last visited our shores in 2013.

Hailing from Melbourne, Miami Horror are known for their cheesy synth melodies in summer-friendly hits like "Sometimes."

The full batch-one lineup is as follows: The Vaccines (UK), Miami Horror (AUS), PREP (UK), Sunflower Bean (US), Elephant Gym (TWN), Solitude Is Bliss (TH), Wang Wen (CN), Vacations (AUS), Lucie Too (JP), Gym and Swim (TH), temp. (TH) and SOLE (TH).
