Hotels often play to the jetset, but SO Bangkok has made a name for itself in the city with cool events and some of the city’s hottest pool parties. Now, the brand has opened a new space for cocktail lovers. 

 

The new space Floor/9, as some of the keener among you may have guessed, is on the 9th floor, and while it might not be the highest cocktail bar in the city, the tall windows overlooking Lumpini Park during the day are striking for some afternoon tipple. At night, this space goes dark, with moody tones and hi-so style. 

 

Opening last month, during the day you’ll find single origin coffees and their high tea, but the lights go down at 5pm, SO Bangkok turns on the After Dark menu. 

 

 

Of course, they’ve got the classics and a bevy of booze and wine in their 15-page menu, but if you’re a cocktail buff their signatures include the easy drinking and floral Muse (B450) made with strawberry infused gin and orange blossom water combined with homemade elderflower and orange tonic. For the vegans out there, they have the guilt-free The Nest (B450) coming in hard with tequila and easing things off with a banana and amaretto liqueur combined with cinnamon syrup and coffee bitters. 

 

Overall, the signature cocktail menu goes big on the fragrance theme, with others like the Smoke Signal and Sapphire leaning into the natural flavors of whiskey and flowery gin respectively. 

 

 

 

Though this is a nightlife check-in spot, don’t count it out during the day. If you’re there for the Instagram shots, they’ve got an adorable little ferris wheel style serving set for their Fashion High Tea if you're there between 2:30-5pm.
