Vogue Lounge, Sathorn's most luxurious cocktail bar, has closed.

Rather than go out with a bang, the bar shut its doors quietly for the last time on Jul 31. The news has come at such short notice that it hasn't yet been relayed on the bar's own social media.  

Vogue Lounge's general manager, Thomas Deledalle, told us, “Due to the new management of MahaNakhon, there will be a new project for the space.”

The closure follows on from the news in April that King Power bought MahaNakhon Tower—Thailand's tallest building—and the adjoining MahaNakhon Cube retail building from financially struggling developer Pace Development Corporation Plc. for a reported B10 billion.

Opened to great fanfare in late 2014, Vogue Lounge won hearts among a well-heeled crowd for its decor channeling ‘20s glamour, delectably delicate bar bites and its boozy, floral drinks served up by a succession of top mixological talents.
