There's an exciting new Japanese craft beer in town this week—and two parties to welcome it!
Craft beer importer Beervana will hold two special events this week to unleash their latest brew on the city, Japan's Baird Beer.
Started only in 2000 in Japan by an American and Japanese couple, Bryan and Sayuri Baird, the young and rising Baird Beer is known for its balance of flavors and well-sourced water to make for a complex but natural beer.
Try some on Thursday March 20 (6-10pm) at Salt (111/2 Soi Aree, Phaholyothin Soi 7, 02-619-6886) with the first launch of five beers. You'll also have the chance to meet Baird co-founder John Chesen, plus there will be music from DJ Mizuyo from Yokahama.
If you can’t make it that day, you’ve got another shot on Saturday March 22 (7pm) at Sway (Arena 10, Thonglor Soi 10, 02-711-6052). This time, there'll be four beers on tap: Angry Boy Brown Ale, Teikoku IPA, Suruga Bay IPA and Rising Sun Pale Ale.
There's more exciting news to come from Beervana, too: soon, they will be launching a new app, Beerme, which will offer a beer delivery service and party search.
