The family behind the Siam City Hotel’s rebirth as The Sukosol recently launched another new luxury Bangkok riverside hotel, The Siam. Their restaurant serving traditional Thai cuisine, Chon, has already earned praise for its authentic recipes, now the adjacent Deco Bar is offering a more elegant 1920s jazz-infused drinking experience. The main bar, set on the second floor next to Chon, is furnished with leather sofa seats and old brass instruments, while the deck downstairs offers sunset views from rattan sofa seats. The signature cocktails feature Thai herbs and rum (Mae Khong); try The Bangkok (vodka, watermelon, sweet basil, ginger and lime, B350) or the sweet n’ sour Siam Mojito with tamarind and local sugar cane (B350).
