If you’ve sat in Chitbeer in Northanburi or one of the Chit Holes that have popped up around the city in recent years and thought “this could be a bit more rooftop”, then you’re in luck.
Opening late last month, this new Chit Hole, Chit Hole Rooftop Rangsit, adds to the extant venues that started with the space at the Royal River hotel and then spread to Asiatique, Silom, and Phra Khanong.
The new Rangsit rooftop space comes with views and live music, and of course they’re serving up their own craft brews as well as a fridge stocked with beers from around the world.
With outdoor chairs on astroturf at the Tara Grand, and as with every venue of theirs it comes with kitschy cartoon design. Other than the bar, they have a small music stage for visiting singers and musicians, so this should be a spot to watch for live events in the future.
The brainchild of Wichit “Chit” Saiklao, a soldier turned craft brewer, Chitbeer has been a drinking staple for more than a decade, and this new spot keeps with its Chaophraya river roots.
More and more, when you see the yellow and black in Bangkok, it means there’s a Chit Hole nearby, so keep an eye out because with this many venues opening in such a short time, there’s sure to be more.
