Anju Korean Rooftop Bar officially opens its doors tomorrow with a party to mark this new spot for Korean bites and drinks on the 31st floor of the Sindhorn Midtown Hotel.
If you know your Korean food, you know anju refers to the tiny bites you get at every Korean restaurant to kick off your meal, and this new spot will be featuring ‘Seoul food’ and Korea-inspired cocktails. The menu includes street food favorites like cheesy tteokbokki and long-time favorites like kimchi jigae. There are some creative bites here too, such as the spicy sea snails with noodles on a bed of lettuce.
This spot is all about the K-pop vibes with a Bangkok view. How K-pop, you ask, well for their opening they’ll be putting on a K-pop dance competition tonight. Those with the K-Pop chops will grab some dancing friends for a chance to take home B10,000 for first prize, B6,000, and B4,000 for third.
The cocktails come are both signature and classic with a twist—such as the Seoul Mule and the Matcha Colada—from the bar manager Benyapa Gongrum. The signature drinks skew even more creative. If you’ve walked through the streets of Korea long, you’ll know that silkworm pupae are big with the kids, and Anju will be serving them up in their Beon-De-Gi.
Expect to see live and visiting DJs on the regular—it’s a rooftop bar, afterall—from Thursday to Saturday, and be ready for a distinctly Korean flavor to the playlist every night.
For now, interesting drinkers, diners, and dancers can reserve via the new bar’s social media and at
