It’s been six years since a pair of home-brew geeks from the States gave up their cushy jobs in Bangkok to import American craft beers.

In true style, Beervana will be celebrating its sixth birthday on Sep 29 with Beervana Carnival, a huge craft beer event that’s set to gather over 100 labels from 20 breweries new and old, including Stone, Deschutes, Rogue, Founder, Knee Deep, Behemoth and more.

Kicking off at 6pm, the party promises 1,000 liters of draft beer from over 60 labels, plus games, music and food from the likes of Daniel Thaiger, La Monita, Sloane's, Nitrolab and Fatty’s Bar and Diner. Beers will start from B100.

In related news, Beervana has taken a break from its usual cold-chain craft beers to bring to Bangkok the quintessential American lager Pabst Blue Ribbon, with the first 56 cases being made available at art and music events over the next few weeks, starting with Parking Toys (Sep 5) and Galeria Rosa (Sep 8). As of October, PBR tall boys should be widely available across the city.
